I heard that the pax A300 was due to do a proving flt last week...did it happen?

I also recently spoke to a couple of people who regularly deal with HLA - both of them very frustrated at never getting an answer on the phone.
Looks like the situation has not been exaggerated and the Ops guys deserve a lot of sympathy for having this burden thrust upon them.
One of my previous employers' receptionists used to transfer the phones to Ops when she went to lunch and the result was an hour of answering the phone and transferring to other people whilst our fleet of a/c went completely ignored.
And if something operational really needed doing, leaving the phone to ring would result in the boss calling across "Will somebody answer that ******* phone."
