In response to Air_Dream's comment's.....most often delays caused by our handling agents are written off as flight crew delays, regardless of the cause...ie: crew requests baggage ID..delay code passed on, agents pass it off as crew delay...most common one i think..don't think crew experience is a big factor in this regard
about commuting....kind of tough, as the rosters are written assuming most pilots live "in country" so to speak...this subject has been raised, and we'll see if crewing levels, regulatory constraints permit it to happen...things are changing in the rostering department, so we just sit back and wait..but to answer the question...no real commuting rosters at the time...u can request blocks of consecutive days off though, and they are most always granted...
