I understand the advice you gave but my question to you is :
How many people are you aware of that have not made it through QF training school ?
In addition to the above, what would happen if you gave up your full time job, went through the training school (assuming you pass, many don't!) and got to be an FA only to discover you actually don't like the job. It happens more than you would think!
Just wanted to say, that advice on the forum is good but consideration for random comments without more details or actual facts can be worse than the intended advice.
