SC is correct, A8- is the 'new' prefix for Liberia. The old one (EL-) was rescinded by ICAO for
flagrant registration abuses, so if you see an EL- reggie, it's illegal
Remember all those clapped-out 707s/DC-8s supposedly registered in Liberia ? Turns out most weren't registered anywhere, of course Liberia is not the only country with umm... relaxed registration practices.
