The idea of any cadets being placed into the holding pool is highly unlikely. Of the courses in New Zealand without airlines, they will all get one before the Bournemouth phase of the training.
CTC have calculated exactly how many cadets they are going to need. If so much as one course ended up in the holding pool, it would be suicidal for their reputation. Next year easyJet are receiving aircraft at a rate of 1 every nine days. Considering they need oin average 11.5 pilots per Airbus, you do the maths!
Granted, only a proportion of these easyJet spaces are ever going to be filled by cadets, but the important thing is that there ARE enough spaces to cater for the cadets who make the scheme. Of that you can be sure, whether it be with easyJet, TC or someone else. It would be just too risky for CTC otherwise.
