Right now the only openings Bell has are in functional test, but these jobs are often stepping stones to experimental test.

Tiltrotor Test Pilot Specialist 19221rf - Amarillo, Texas

Position Requirements: 2000 hours of helicopter flight experience; FAA Commercial Helicopter Rating; FAA Airplane Single-Engine Land Rating; FAA Helicopter Instrument Rating; Current FAA Class II medical certificate; ability to work and interface with BHTI flight line personnel and Program Managers; ability/willingness to travel on domestic/international trips on short notice.

Desired Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software; degree in aeronautical discipline; FAA Airplane Multi-Engine Rating; FAA Airplane Instrument Rating; FAA Certified Flight Instructor; graduate of USN Test Pilot School; NVG qualified; experience in NAVAIR Flight Manuals and Quality Records; previous qualification in US Navy Water Survival Training.


Functional/Flight Test Specialist - Amarillo, Texas

Position Requirements: This position is the primary focus of integrated aircraft systems functional tests and is involved in the interface with Avionics, Flight Controls, Electrical, Electronic Warfare and Sub-Systems Engineering. Additionally, he/she will be the point of contact for all trouble-shooting of aircraft anomalies, establishment of the functional test sequence, track progress and suggest alternatives in the case of functional test line stoppages. Maintain A/C Systems configuration database and identify system tests that do not meet spec and maintenance of the required documentation. Assist pilots with conducting functional test while Rotors are Turning on the aircraft and perform Flight Engineer duties during Acceptance Test Flights and Trouble Shooting Flights. A&P and FCC Licensures or equivalent are required.

Desired Qualifications: Support of functional test activities and flight operation shakedowns and trouble-shooting in a helicopter production fight-test environment. Familiarity with 1553 and ARINC 429 Data Bus Systems is beneficial, as is experience with Fly by Wire Aircraft Flight Systems. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance (no exceptions). Previous electrical/mechanical aerospace assignments essential.
