That’s in line with what the Czechs pay, a few variations on the same theme. What really gets me is the justification that the management uses to screw the pilots. The government appointed chief of CSA’s holding company was quoted as saying that we should be understanding of the difficulties they face and can’t expect to be paid the same as Delta or Air France. Sorry but couldn’t find the English translation..

Question from us, the lowly peons is: Do we not fly the same equipment on the same routes the same way with the same or more expensive tickets for the same money?
The answer is ….NO! We fly at 37% the average European wage, so in effect we are price dumping. Does our company really expect us to pull down everyone else because they can’t make ends meet? Is this in line with EU practice? Do the newcomers from behind the iron curtain have an unfair advantage? You bet! We at CSA are about to start our negotiations for a new contract. I believe the same to be true for LOT. Instead of going to look for greener pastures in your backyard, lets clean up our mess and even up the playing field.
How about this…the AEA calls for it,

I know the thread was about LOT so I don't want to screech about CSA, but in a strange way, we are so similar it's not funny. The language is very similar, the company is roughly the same size and the culture is very similar, so it's almost a carbon copy.
