My instructor was teaching yaw (just) before pitch, but your notes concur with Alan's book, so that's what I'll try on the next outing.
Stik - Interesting to hear you do that too, i.e. go out and try stuff out and make mental notes of the results. I find it really rewarding - in fact my list of 'things to try' is currently growing quicker than I can tick them off thanks to some great debate and advice here.
