Here is a picture of the 02 approach at Shoreham:
I have flown that approach at night, with the needle bang centred on the RMI, and popped out of cloud
over the coast about 2nm West of the airfield. That looks to be about 35deg off course.
Shoreham is a particularly bad example, because of the combination of night effect and refraction, but give me GPS every time!
