Seagull how right you are, I am as guilty as anyone for no thought about what attire to wear to fly. I just wear the same things as I wear to drive my car. It's not down to cost, flying is an expensive hobby, so it must be not wanting to be on the receiving end of sniggers and such about wearing a bone dome in a C150. Stick to your guns, you are the paying customer, as long as there is no communications problem, and you are comfortable with it, wear it, and hope you never have to say, thank God I did.
