Sharjah Night Shift: When the mouse batteries are starting to run low I get an annoying pop up window appear telling me to replace the batteries, but every time I try to move the cursor over the window to click the "no go away I will change the batteries later button" the mouse comes back to life and the window disappears. A few seconds later the whole process starts off all over again so I give up and change the still perfectly good batteries in the mouse.
I think that if they're starting to run low and triggering the message, they're no longer "perfectly good batteries". Yes, they may still have enough in them to run the mouse but they are on their way out. If you leave them till they get lower, the mouse could then start to become unreliable, jerky, slow to respond - all before it finally dies.
Batteries are cheap. Personally, I'd just change them.
