Just had to throw my two pennorth' in.

Been using Norton Internet Security / NAV for a year or two now and, to cut a long story short, needed to look for a replacement.

Installed Zone Alarm, used it many moons ago but it now seems a lot more seamless, you just dont notice its there.

On the virus scanner front, I've used AVG before, but was not totally convinced. Co-inciding with the start of this thread, I read a review of AntiVir . A respected PC journalist recommended it so I thought I would give it a try. Most impressed. Lightweight (very), it's updated very regularly and I've tested it on a number of recent viruses (deliberately downloading - am I mad?) and it caught them all instantly and without fuss. The only negative aspect in my opinion is that you have to remember to update it manually, and every update is a full replacement of the virus definition file, a shade short of 2mb, no probs with ADSL, but slightly irritating for dial up connections.

Would'nt dream of buying an AV product again whilst this is around.
