Angel Naked publicity for super wee strips

Well IMHO nothing beats the little clutch of 'aerodromes' about 15-30 miles north of Glasgow .... well worth the effort to splash about with www.caledonianseaplanes.co.uk

......then there is the option of buying two of these (only 20lb weight each) ... www.bike-in-a-bag.com

packing them in the back of a PA28 or C172 and heading out to somewhere luverly like ....

Islay - 7 distilleries to choose from and Morag's bacon rolls in the airport shop
http://www.hial.co.uk/islay-airport.html

Gigha - semi-tropical paradise - 700m grass strip, but be wary if it has been raining, phone the hotel first to find out if grass has been cut and watch out for the soft patch halfway down.

Oban -
a destination in its own right, with one of the friendliest welcomes north of Bournemouth. A superb stopping off point for fuel or to wash off the sand if you've just been to the ultimate in freshly washed runways at ...... http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/barra/airport/

or an overnighter on Mull at ....
http://www.glenforsa.co.uk/

and then just to show that I'm not too biased .....
Old Sarum .. super food, super atmosphere
Compton Abbas .. beautiful location, and good food too
Henstridge .. in the middle of no where but a good Sunday lunch!
