Thy must have heard you because they are starting Saturday flights on the PLH-BRS-MAN-BRS-PLH route from this September, so you will be able to watch your French namesake at Home Park - you're not him, are you?

Further evidence of the continuing success of this airline from the Bristol Airport press statement below.

Air Southwest, the low fares regional airline, is extending its services out of Bristol in response to strong customer demand.

The airline, which has sold more than 100,000 seats since its launch last October, will introduce its first Saturday service between Bristol and Manchester from September 25 this year.

Air Southwest has been flying to Manchester since March 1 on every day of the week except Saturdays.

Tony Hallwood, Bristol International's Aviation Development Director, welcomed the additional Saturday services to Manchester and Plymouth saying: “Since the Air Southwest launch in March, both the Manchester and Plymouth routes have proved exceptionally popular with leisure and business passengers. The new services give passengers even more choice and are a welcome development for the airport. Travellers from the far South West can now gain easy access to our weekend national and international services.”

Mike Coombes, general manager commercial at Air Southwest, said: “Our Manchester flights have proved very popular and this new Saturday service is being launched in response to strong customer demand.

“It’s ideal for anyone looking for a weekend break, especially for sporting events or shopping trips in Manchester, and gives passengers the flexibility they’ve told us they want.”

Passengers can also fly from Bristol to Plymouth with Air Southwest, and the airline will be introducing a new Saturday morning service to Plymouth, also from September 25.

Air Southwest also operates a daily service from Bristol to Jersey.
