Question Cardio Vascular Problems?

OK, so I'm 50, unrestricted Class 1 (so far).

I had a session with twinges in the chest, maybe 20 years ago, thorough BUPAised examination, nothing found wrong, but always a bit of a worry. About 5 years after that, I had a pretty severe personal trauma, (don't ask!) immediately after which I was found to have moderately elevated BP, which has been kept in bounds ever since by Lisinopryl. Usually in the region 125-30 / 75 - 80. AME insists there is no problem.
I visit the gym three or four times a week, usually for about an hour, getting the old HR up to 135 / 145 for that period of time, finishing off with some metal pressing to balance the top bit out.

Problem is I have noticed that at times of relaxation, ie waking up, watching TV, standard low stress times, I am getting the same funny feelings in the chest again. Sometimes left, sometimes right, never any discomfort, just 'funny' feelings, akin to an itch, or a twinge. Never noticed these whilst jogging, cycling, golfing, sex, whatever. Over the last ten years, I have been sent for following a mild ecg abnormality at medical times, and have twice, five years apart, done the old stress tests to be told there is nothing wrong, and have the box ticked.

Nonetheless, am (as one does) getting concerned, both for Class 1 reasons and lifespan reasons. Current medical BP was 130 / 85 the other week, MAE said there was nothing at all to worry about - if I had no pains with exertion, then it is probably skeletal in nature. (He is aware of an accident I had some years ago cracking a couple of ribs, says that is likely the cause.)

So what do you think?

1. Anyone know of any potential cardio problems which could show these symptoms?

2. Where do I go from here? Spouse and Doc seem to think I am over-reacting. I would love to believe them, but the old chest twinges keep me awake at night even when they aren't there. (The chest pains I mean, not Doc and Spouse, lol)

Easy to be dismissive, but it is a worry, in a lot of respects I would prefer them to find something so at least I would have something to deal with.
