If the R22 stops production, does that include rebuilds ? If not, then the R22 will continue ad infinitum.
If the R22 ever becomes unavailable as an ab-initio type, will Bell 47s, H300, Enstroms and the like take over ?
Whatever type is out there, there is a requirement for an entry level / training helicopter. If the R22 doesn't fulfil it, something else will.
