SLF - I agree, but I have heard stories of people having to eat boxes of chocolates because they weren't allowed to take them on the aeroplane. And even babies' sterilised milk being taken away. It was probably at the height of Foot and Mouth, but I didn't want to have to stuff myself at check-in.
