It's quite difficult to get into if you haven't done it before.
Alot of airlines at LHR will not take people externally into flight dispatch and only take internal applicants.
Bmi only take internal and I believe that BA are the same.
LH/Globeground will take external, but only with previous experience.
VS also take external, but just did a recruitment at the start of the year, and at the mo have loads of secondments from internally to fill any new positions.
Saudi Arabian take external, but only with FAA dispatch license.
Others, not too sure about.
Best to get hold of a copy of Skyport that comes out every Friday. Copies can be picked up in the side entrance to Queens Building (T1 side), or outside the staff canteen in T3 on the mezzanine level in arrivals. Most LHR and some LGW jobs will be in there.
