Congratulations to PM and the team, quite an achievement in just their first year. A savvy move as well; satisfied customers = repeat business and word of mouth recommendation. It also gives them some discretion on pricing. Not a massive amount of course, demand is still highly sensitive to pricing, but building a reputation for being 'good' does give them some latitude.
Lemming - not sure about any specific details of what's next, but I'm told they have dusted off another of the ex-Ansett -300s and that it should be due to arrive at Leeds by the end of the month to become the 7th based aircraft. No real reason to do this unless there were more routes in the pipeline.
No one seems quite sure of bmi regional's strategy up at Leeds at the moment, least of all bmi. There could be a genuine opportunity for Jet2 to make a success of routes that bmi either won't or can't make a decent effort of themselves.
