Sadly, this is typical of JAA. Mutual recognition of medical certificates is only the tip of the iceberg. In my experience UKCAA are actually head & sholders above the majority of regualtory authorities with regard to acceptance of other state issued licences, certificates and approvals.
And no, I don't work for the CAA !
