The latest on the fleet can be derived from recent press releases on the Cathay website. Try this link:
http://www.cathaypacific.com/intl/ab...105667,00.html This link describes the acquisition of eight new short and medium haul aircraft over the next few years. It also provides an up-to-date listing of the fleet composition, including freighters. Interesting to note is the promise of further expansion plans in the long haul fleet. I guess this would tie in nicely with the plans to put some of the 747-400s through the 747-400F Special Freighter conversion...
The info in this press release is backed up by the details listed in the 2003 Annual Report to Shareholders, located here
http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/intr...47_ar2003e.pdf They can't go making that bit up, the shareholders wouldn't stand for it!!
So far as discrepancies in specs and engines, that is less easy to resolve. I don't think any interview board is going to crucify you for being +/- a bit for an aircraft on which you are not qualified. It would be nice to have the confidence that your numbers are spot on though! FWIW, at my first interview I was asked *nothing* of a specific numerical nature about any Cathay types...
Hope this helps
Cheers
