Busy summer program and winter ahead! Reduced number of airframes but still need to carry passengers. Fleet has always been too small to cope with full summer program.
Have used Finnair before and have had Canadian aircraft on wet lease for the last few years so nothing unusual about it.
A lot of work has always been subbed out (25%) rings a bell! The reduction you mention has been in the subbing, the airline has therefore been working harder to increase utilization . No more quiet winters!
