helicopter groundcrew standards
My company is currently writing a new set of training standards for all levels of helicopter groundcrew in the UK. The training and assessments cover 9 modules and involve all aspects of handling including refuelling and external loads.
The standards also incorporate passport schemes, a new safety monitoring system.
All of the training and assessments will also culminate in a City and Guilds Certificate.
Once this scheme is running it will benefit all helicopter compamies in the uk especially those looking to recruit, we are looking at government financial initiatives for the introduction of new industry safety schemes this could aid companies with the financial aspects of training.
we are also applying for a jobcentre+ contract to aid new recruits into the industry, with companies benefiting with greatly reduced training and recruitment costs.
Do any of you pilots have some feedback for me about the current training and safety standards for groundcrews, and any comments about the introduction of new standards.
I look forward to your comments good or bad.
