For what it's worth I recently saw a set of Bristol Groundschool notes and they looked extremely well presented, of high quality and very comprehensive. I trained pre JAR and my notes were just black and white photocopied in a binder. These were colourful and contained many, many pictures (a great help!)
They get my vote.
