Whilst on the topic...

I'm in the process of compiling a list of operators to send out resumes to and am getting a little frustrated trying to get the names of the Chief Pilot or a worthwhile contact name to address a resume to and to ask for when making the phone call.

I hate ringing and asking "Who is the CP? or "Can I talk to the CP?" as you sound like you haven't really researched the company properly. Is there any other way?

And axle61, make sure you call up after you've sent a resume (by post), email will almost never do the trick. Try and time your phone call for a few days after you think your resume will arrive. Even as just a line pilot I used to always spend a few minutes talking to guys if they seemed decent and polite on the phone. They might be able to give you good goss on other companies in the area as well.

Cheers,
TL
