Thanks for the info MAC, I thought SuSe was pretty slick in installing itself alongside Win2K, giving me a choice at boot-up as well as direct access to my Windows files - thus saving me the hassle of messing around with Samba.
Haven't had much time dwelving into it much but was quite impressed overall.
Not ready to switch to a Linux distro for the moment as am rather dependant on some M$hafted applications.
(until openoffice and Thunderbird/Firefox get up to speed and then it'll probally be adios bill).
