I suppose you expect a pat on the back for deducing who I am, not! I make no secret of my identity under this profile, I created it so that people would know who I am and my new job is very good thanks.

The timing of me leaving was coincidental. If I was subject to inside information then do you not think I would have left immediately upon tendering my resignation rather than waiting until 5 days before everything went awry? I had enough leave to go straight away but stayed so as not to leave the company in the lurch. As a result I have not received my final salary nor any other outstanding payments. Do you think I would be in this position if I were subject to inside information? Please also bear in mind that if I had still been at European I may have been one of the lucky ones!

I spent 2 very enjoyable years at European and was very sad to leave but I did so for family reasons not because they were in trouble, if I was going to do that I would have gone Orange last year.

Now that I have stated my case please let me make one other thing clear. The remaining staff at EAAC deserve all the support they can get. The bitterness that appears on this site was understandable a month ago when the redundancies were made but now it is time to get on with your life. To pay the staff all they are owed the company has to generate so money, so they need to fly. If they do not then we will get ****** all except the pittance the government will pay. Of this I am quite confident.

Although European Skybus have purchased, as part of the CVA, the remaining assets of EAAC, the company is still trading under that name and all profits go to the supervising agent, Moore Stephens, to distribute to the creditors. The preferential creditors, Inland revenue, Customs and excise, social security, pension schemes, employees wages, all of which can be found on http://www.insolvency.co.uk/legal/p2...htm#schedule6, will get paid from this money over the period of 15 months.

The unsecured creditors agreed to 6% rather than the 0% they would have got if the company had folded, something is better than nothing after all. I really feel for some of these as I had a very good working relationship with them.

Could I point out to everyone that the majority of American carriers went into Chapter 11 after 9/11 and this was perfectly acceptable yet EAAC are being slated for surviving! What is the difference?

Finally I wish all the best to the staff who remained at EAAC, long may they prosper, and to those who unfortunately did not, may they all move on to greener pastures. But please stop slagging them off.

witchway - Alex is right, come out and tell us who you are, unless you are frightened that is. We will find out eventually.
