Hi SS

I take it you've read the pay offer? I sometimes like to think of the glass as half full, in this case I appreciate a 4% pay rise now rather than dividing it by 18 months and looking at it as inflationary. The loyalty scheme was already shot last year when they blocked F/Os from getting it until command. Trainers work a darn sight harder than the rest and should get some higher compensation from spending most of their time trucking over and back to Luton four days a week.

What do you think our Balpa CC should have gone for? 6%? 10%? £10m to split between us? The difference between what EZY is willing to pay for and what we want them to pay for is the basis for union negotiations. I think this is pretty good considering what the company actually was going to give us - especially as there is progress on the rostering front.

It's not the best we could have got, or even hoped for. But that's 21st century business sense for you.

I'm voting yes - but I'm willing to join you on the picket lines if that's the way the vote goes.
