There is no such thing as "equal people". You are using an analogy that makes no sense at all, one that is known to be flawed. It has been pointed out that most companies will not even
know which got the higher grades, as they don't ask.

How can these two statements come in the same post, aimed at challenging the advice of someone who
has airline experience and
does work in recruiting? I would not claim to know enough for a definitive statment, even though I probably know a lot more than you, having been employed in professional aviation training for about 3 years. I would however say that my experience is in line with Scroggs, especially recently knowing 3 people who have been accepted with an airline. One of the two with definite start dates, rather than being pooled, failed one series of groundschool exams, had to sit all 14 again and came perilously close to failing a second series. I would certainly defer to Scroggs's experience over my own.
