1964..eh?? Sorry can't remember that far back, I'm just a young lad see!!! Looks to me like you are living in the past. As for damaging cars, I've carried an indulgence vehicle safely back from the west Coast only to find two highly valued 'Aircrew Employers' screaming around the car park doing donuts. A couple of name/rank/numbers later improved my mood somewhat.
You are correct that the civvies don't employ us...but they keep muttering that they should although they cannot afford it. Several crashes may have been avoided.
ABIW is not too worried that you probably know who he is now....he has, after all, got your 'hero-worship' from your stated location.
