Tiger, Suggest that you check your facts...EF LGW is not and has never been a subsidiary company of BA (Unlike EOG and Cityflyer).
It was formed out of the aforementioned companies...but that is where the similarity ends. it is an intrinsic part of British Airways...and whilst there are certain agreements that are different to that of other fleets....this is because of laws regarding mergers and acquisitions, and the fact that the previous occupants of LGW Shorthaul (i.e CFE and EOG), have to keep their terms and conditions...for what they are worth.
Hope that this clarifys things, especially for the new recruits joining us....
Would also like to add, that anyone transferring to LHR Shorthaul from LGW Shorthaul, always started at the bottom of the seniority, you infer by your posting that it is CFE that is to blame for this. This is not the case, and again another example of EF LGW keeping the agreements that were in place PRE merger! Whether we like it or not...
