Whirly, sounds like a corrupted cookie. I suggest you find any cookies for pprune.org that are resident on your puter and delete them. Quit your browser. Restart your puter and log into PPRuNe again.
Let us know if that worked. If you don't know how to delete cookies then I'm sure someone here will advise you on how. I'm only an Apple Mac user and so am not familiar with the intricate, Heath Robinsonesque workings of a Bill Gates derived product.
