However, when the positions were first advertised back in Aug/Sep of last year, it was for London Heathrow with a LHRCCS job reference code. So when they subsequently said LHR and LGW, I explained that LHR was what I had been interested in applying for, and that LGW would be a lot more difficult transportation wise.
At the interview they said they understood that some people had applied for LHR and that LGW would be difficult for them. They said that we could explain that we wanted to wait for LHR, but that ultimately we may end up waiting several months if there was only LGW courses, and perhaps even miss out altogether if only LGW courses were scheduled, so it was a risk we’d have to decide if we were willing to take. It was just fortunate that they had both LGW and LHR course dates available when I was called.
