Kate Adie was the BBC's glamouflaged war reporter who always seemed to appear first on the scene of any conflict. The joke being that if you ever found yourself on the same flight as Kate, get the next flight home!
She left her £150K per year job on the eve of GW2 last year after 34 years working for the BBC.
And she looked pretty good in publicity photos taken earlier in her career - quite like Bardot when she was about 19! She rose to fame by covering the 1980 Iranian embassy siege live, without any script, to a huge TV audience. She also covered the Malvinas war, Tianemen Square, GW1, Bosnia..........certainly rather better than CNN, Fox or Sky did!
