I agree with most of what unable says. I thoroughly enjoy flying for easyjet and have no complaints. It is hard work but no more than i expected and I certainly get more free time than in any other non-aviation related jobs i have had.
It is my first airline so I have no idea how other airlines operate with regards to rostering etc.
Many other pilots i am flying with also agree that ezy is a good job. Many have flown charter in a previous life (eg. quite a few Brittania guys) and say they were always as tired if not more tired with their schedules in those airlines. Many ex longhaul guys also seem to prefer the regularity of the ezy roster.
On the other side of course, many people are upset at the unstable rostering and pushing flight and duty time limitations to the limit.
Personally I dont feel excessively fatigued or taken advantage of in any way. The guys and girls, both flightdeck and cabin crew (and ground staff) are great, its a good laugh and pay is good. I have only been with the company a year or so. Maybe when I am more of a grizzled old pro things may appear different. Or maybe I am just easily pleased.
