As an easyjet pilot I thought I would also like to provide a little balance to this thread! I'm getting a little board with all this faceless slagging of easyjet.
I've been here just over 3 years and have been very critical of the management and very vocal but not on this forum i've voiced my concerns directly at the management and finally i do believe things are changing for the better although it is a slow process and things are not perfect I do believe the future is indeed orange!
A lot of the incompetant managers have moved or been moved on since the departure of Stellios, people are now given jobs based on ability rather than loyalty, experienced people are now being recruited into positions and the differance is noticeable.
The new chief pilot is making a good start at improving communication to the pilots, and making small and good changes to SOP's.
Rostering is still a problem area but even that is improving very slowly and i believe the long term propect is for continueing improvments, although as pilots we are a difficult group to satisfy completely!
Most of the people I fly with are reasonably happy with their lot although we would all like to see things improve further!
Pay cheque's are always on time and mostly correct which over the last few years is a rare event in aviation! Job security is good too!
Would I as one person wrote "run into the waiting arms of Virgin Atlantic " definatly not been there to find out that the waiting arms are only there to catch you ready to be drop kick into touch a the first hint of trouble! If you need proof i've still got the bruises on my arse to prove it!
So for those of you who like to slagg us of i recomend you apply elsewhere and for those of you in easyjet that are unhappy feel free to leave because those of us that are happy here are getting sick of you!!!
And before you start I'm not management just an ordinary line Captain sick of listening to you cry!!!
