Efforts are indeed being made, Mactom, but with no credit to the company for this! Only constant pressure and feedback from the Balpa CC and the pilot community is causing the company to realise they have put their foot in it by their intransigence on crew lifestyle.
However, I would admit that ultimately it is the considerable number of pilots voting with their feet which is causing the company to finally address the issue rather than the feedback and pressure, which has been falling on deaf ears for the past 18 months.
We are all hoping that good sense will prevail and lifestyle issues will be comprehensively addressed otherwise there may be more than just a steady trickle of people leaving for the reasons you have clearly described.
