Hardly ever see a BA staff member in economy (world traveller)? I am lucky enough to have access to BA staff travel (have had for the last 26 years) and I can assure you that upgrades are not lightly or freely given and I have seen MANY staff *down the back*. It is true, however, that they are good with upgrades IF there is no other space available.
