). In fact, I agree wholeheartedly with the general thrust of his remarks. But as a long time teacher of the young, I'm well aware that Bulletin Boards and Forums like these are often the first places that youngsters chance their arm and try to express their thoughts in the written word.
So, while no-one should be "flamed" for a spelling gaff, in fact it's a waste of bandwidth even to point them out, we should aim to encourage by example.
We did this years ago and then there was a Freeware program called "iSpell" that I no longer seem to be able to find in my emporium. I used it on an NT4 Workstation. But there is this one on the web:
