I have had confirmation that there was a CF6-50G uncontained turbine failure on a 747 cargo aircraft leaving HKG. I know this is old news and uncontained events on the CF6 aren't exactly rare but this engine was supposedly modified to the latest and greatest standard to prevent uncontained events through the turbine.
Worrying!
