Big Al was sent on today. The Holy Cross church was close to full with family, friends, and former colleagues from various flying
lives.
Amazingly the torrential rain, some 6" per day for the past few days, mostly abated, and Big Al was laid to rest at the Martyn St cemetry, with a wake held afterwards at the Matson Resort.
Full marks go to Airlines of PNG, who I believe footed the bill, including air fares, for family overseas at the time of Big Al's tragic death.
RIP Al, gone but not forgotten.
