SaabD - Sounds like a load of work but obviously if I want it fixing....... Disconnecting one of the DVD drives isn't likely to help (or will depending how laterally you're expected to think) since the problem is only when copying disc, drive to drive.??? Jumpers are correct. Could try swapping chains tho'. How do you know if the bios doesn't like the arrangement?
ck - I thought I'd read elsewhere on the forum that you should place optical drives on the same chain in order to prevent one slowing the other down but you acknowledge that and seem to be saying that it shouldn't slow the system down that much??
