All wrapped up in chains

IDE ones that is......... but it caught the attention of all those closet S&M-ers!!

Have been experiencing a problem ever since I installed me new DVD burner when trying to DVD copy using Intervideo DVD copy which came with the package. Ricoh and Intervideo don't want to know (surprisingly.....) as the software people say the bundle is OEM and Ricoh will have tampered with it, Ricoh say they don't have any problems with this software on XPhome platforms (well they do now says I).

Fact is that my probs only come about when I fire up the software with a blank DVD in the burner - it locks up my processor. If I fire up the programme with nothing in the burner tray it remains chuffed up until I put some media in......

Aditionally it allows me to burn to DVD something I have on my hard drive.

So, me's got to thinkin' maybe the fact that both DVD drives are on the same IDE chain (hence the title - sorry to drag it out so) could be givin' me the shakes???

What d'ya think then?
