The main differences that I am aware of is that the L1 has slightly uprated Makila 1A1 engines (instead of 1A on the L) and modified (simplified) landing gear retraction system that is more like that on the L2.
The autopilot on the L has a few possibilities depending on mod state - the basic one is 3 axis with altitude, airspeed and selected heading hold. Then there is an option for an additional coupler panel which gives coupled ILSs and VOR approaches etc, as well as a flight director, trimmable airspeed hold, vertical speed hold plus probably something I have forgotten

. Then you can have the 4-axis autopilot which includes the coupler panel and an actuator for the collective.
