"What ports do I need open to run chat behind a firewall?"

If behind a firewall or proxy server, make sure that at least one of these 7 default ports is open for DigiChat to bind to in order to function: 8396, 58396, 8080, 443, 110, 119, 25
I have not researched the way DigiChat works, so don't know how the following may impact it, but... are sure that it uses ports 25, 110, 119, 443 and 8080 ? If so, the explanation of the problem may lie in the fact that these ports are already assigned for use by other protocols (25 is SMTP, 110 is POP, etc.) At least one UK ISP, Freeserve, transparently redirects port 25 connections on some parts of its network as part of its anti-spam efforts (and which has caused some of my users no end of head scratching until we figured out waht was going on...) If DigiChat is attempting to use these ports, then the fact that its using ports registered to other well-known service may be to blame.... Freeserve is alleged to be a UK ISP through which DigiChat doe not work... coincidence ?
