This also applies to military strategic real estate.In the case of the Strait of Hormus this means that for Iran even a modern howitzer would be enough to damage/sink an unwelcome ship trying to pass through the Strait. Good luck trying to eliminate every howitzer, drone, speed boat or missile on that rugged coast of Bandar Abbas. Short of Armageddon chances are you won't achieve that without invading with at least fifty or hundred thousand troops into the region. Do you reckon anyone willing to go that mile?
Further, if we find that piece of paper, does it allow iran to distribute mines willy-nilly if they are involved in military action with states NOT signing said agreement/treaty/ whatever.
