EASA class 1 medical with eye surgery but no documentation

Hey everyone,
Question for everyone who might have being through this, know someone who did, happens to be an AME (best case scenario lol) or knows the specifics.

I did PRK (Eye refraction surgery) back in 2009. Everything went well, and since I got my FAA and TCCA (Canada) class 1 medical (both aware of the surgery).

Fast forward to 2026 – I want to get my EASA class 1 medical, but the problem is the clinic that performed the surgery went bankrupt and the doctor retired. I have no way of getting any data (specially the before and after numbers). I tried contacting some AeMC, but I live in Canada at the moment and I kinda hit a wall anytime I try.
My understanding is that I have to undergo an Ophthalmologist assessment anyway, so would that be enough? I’d hate to spend money on ATPL theory, flight ticket and the assessment just to be told it can’t be done without the paperwork (information they can and should provide over the phone/email IMO).

Any input or help will be very much appreciated!
