As I stated, E/AB is not for everyone. However, it’s not the certificate or license in one’s pocket that makes the mechanic or pilot, it’s the person who does. And while it may not be common in your location, there are many pilots and owners here that perform maintenance on their own aircraft, E/AB or certified, with the same dedication and competence as any A&P would, and in some cases even more. So, to put all pilots and owners in the same group as you have is hardly accurate on a number of levels.
