For ballistic missiles? yes. (I realize that my info is almost 2 decades out of date but, if they don't the the TBM cannot be engaged). Won't comment on cruise missiles, I am too far our of the loop.
Compared to the LCS debacle, the Oliver Hazard Perry was a paragon of design excellence. Made a pretty fair basis for coast guard cutters...
