Perhaps, it is the defensive missions undertaken by offensive means to defend the indefensible, from the offensive actions of those that are responding in defence of offensive actions, such as capping your boss, his replacement, the replacements replacement, the father, son and the holy toast apparently, the whole 9 yards.
